HI! I am grateful for you taking time to care for yourself, however that will end up looking for you AND for taking the time to get to know what Im offering as a healing modality for yourself and/or your loved ones.
A bit about my background and education. I have a nutrition & dancers background and have always been involved with physical play and fitness and nutrition throughout my life. In 1993, I got interested in massage therapy and received my graduation certificate from the National Holistic Institute. After graduating, I've had the pleasure, absolutely, of learning from, practicing with, and working with many amazing health professionals, holistic schools, and companies. I dove into different approaches, teachers, and decades of hands on experience!!
A defining incident in my life that drove my learning even deeper was a car accident. That accident lead me to see a new layer in the power of bodywork. That accident that left me with trauma to my head and anxiety in my body. I tried many modalities to reset my nervous system. A specific massage style that I incorporate in some sessions is called Tragerwork. It released the wound up tension and anxiety my mind was sending to my body.
I deeply value the evolution of continuing education and growth within my community connections for myself AND for my clients progression and connection to their being well. In relationship to massage and bodywork, I bring in my little suitcases of studied goodies; knowledge and practice of yoga & movement based practices, whole foods nutrition and herbal medicine, meditation and breathe work, joy, trust, deep knowing, and authenticity to my practice and to the massage table.
My approach and intention comes from the knowledge that our bodies have a deep healing wisdom AND are a product of our habits, traumas, accidents, work.....aka: LIFE :) I like to support and help my clients to live better with and within their body, mind and spirit. I work with habituated muscular patterns formed from our past & daily life habits, chronic pain and injuries, emotional stress and tension. Let's invite in a sense of ease and start to be curious & playful & meet and breath to create more freedom in the body and the mind. Ahhhh.....then we can breathe more fully into and say Hello (connect) to that innate healing space inside. My intention is to have the session focus on moving physically & energetically more consciously, slowly and easily and joyfully, to really listen deeply to what brings about sustainable change and creates space for potential shifts. My practice is a wholistic meditative healing practice and not a specific protocol practice. It's both deep and gentle work.
So, let us start with "beginners mind," get curious and make "Shift Happen!"
Looking so forward to connecting with you,
Stacy :)
*** there is a very deep value in practices that give us time to fully disengage from our external activities and expand deeply into our body, breath, mind, heart, and spirit bringing a completely new level of powerful presence to your daily life
